For Immediate Release
Title suite includes vocals by legendary Cream vocalist Jack Bruce
Swedish keyboard legend Pär Lindh announces that his band Pär Lindh Project will release their new album NagelfarNovember 21, 2025 on Pär’s Crimsonic Label. This album has been recorded over many years with an array of talented musicians, including posthumous vocal contributions by original PLP vocalist Magdalena Hagberg and legendary Cream vocalist Jack Bruce.
There are six of Sweden’s best drummers performing on the album. Svetlan Rocket lays down some delicate drums on the intro of “Nagelfar”. Svetlan have also played on the Pär Lindh Live in Poland DVD as well as playing on the title track of the PLP album Time Mirror. Magnus Brandell plays on Nagelfar part two and three and does a great job there. Mattias Olsson of Änglagård fame and one of Sweden’s most renowned prog rock drummers plays drums on “Very Nice”. Hampus Andersson plays on “Splendid View”. Pär Lindh plays on “Tres Vieux Jeu” and has a splash around the drums on “Pubcrawl”. Nisse Bielfeld plays on the bonus track “Jerusalem”. Nisse was, as the only Swedish drummer, voted as the 16th best drummer of the top 25 best drummers of progressive rock! All this makes the album a must for all drum-crazy people and prog loving fans!
The final track on the album, “Jerusalem,” was written for Pär Lindh Project’s 1997 Mundus Incompertus album, but due to lack of time it had to be left out. “Jerusalem” was finally recorded in 1998 by PLP Mark One and is here presented for the first time.
Nagelfar is, as legend has it, a ship made of the nails of fallen viking heroes on their final journey to Valhalla. Says Pär, “This album was intended to be my last hurray as far as prog rock albums were concerned. A farewell to my fans all over the world. Hence the unreleased bonus track with PLP Mark One from 1997 with Magdalena singing (RIP).
“However, in 2024 Hampus Andersson came to rent a flat on my estate. After not too long, I realized that Hampus was a truly great guitarist, bass player as well as vocalist and that he, like me, was a fan of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. So we decided to form a band and started to look for a really good drummer, and after a while Mattias Olsson of Änglagård fame decided to join the band and a Power Trio was born. So more PLP albums are now likely to follow this one.”
